Infants
Infant Classroom - 6 Weeks to 18 Months
Our infant program is designed to partner with you while you and your child transition into a new routine. We take meticulous care in preparing a loving and nurturing environment with a well-crafted program that promotes the healthy and joyful growth of your baby. Our daily routines provide dedicated time to observe each child, engage in interactive experiences, and provide stimulating conversations and manipulative materials during receptive moments. As your child progresses through important milestones, such as transitioning from sitting to crawling and eventually walking, or from bottle-feeding to self-feeding, we are there every step of the way, offering encouragement and assistance.
Our infant curriculum is research based and carefully promotes learning through play and discovery. During active learning, caregivers encourage infants to discover the world around them through exploration, sensory stimulation, physical and cognitive activities.
We understand each child has different needs and routines so we are more than happy to accommodate special requests regarding feeding, naps and other special needs.
Toddlers
Toddler Classroom - 18 Months to 35 Months
At Flip-N-Swim, we believe that play is the primary work for toddlers, as they acquire various skills through toys and games. We embrace a hands-on approach to learning, encouraging experimentation and exploration. Our toddler classrooms are uniquely designed with thematic spaces, learning centers, and a wide array of educational materials. We focus on developing self-help skills, such as transitioning from a sippy cup to a regular cup, letting go of pacifiers, using utensils, practicing table manners, and toilet training.
Toddlers are actively encouraged to engage in singing songs, repeating nursery rhymes, and expanding their vocabulary. Our program builds upon the fine and gross motor skills that have been developing during the first two years, allowing for safe exploration and play in a responsive environment. To foster parental involvement, our teachers provide daily sheets that document and share your child's experiences. Regular reports are also provided to keep you well-informed about your child's ongoing development.
Our dedicated teachers empower each child to become independent and understand the impact of their actions on others. We provide consistent feedback and encouragement to foster a sense of excitement for learning. Our classrooms offer opportunities for child-choice and self-directed play, as well as small group activities and circle-time with other children. Each learning area is thoughtfully equipped and arranged to align the age of the children in that classroom. The toddler curriculum focuses on thematic learning encompassing language arts, number concepts, arts and crafts, as well as fine and gross motor skills.
Teachers at Flip-N-Swim are trained on developmental guidelines for toddlers and to promote language, social/emotional, physical and cognitive development.
Preschool
Preschool Classroom - 3 Years to 5 Years
Children at this age are eager to learn and grow as they start to rapidly absorb information through all their sense. This age group is also building confidence in their environments, expressing more independence and understanding.
Our In our preschool programs, we have carefully designed structured schedules that incorporate ample opportunities for physical activities, quiet time, both group and individual activities, meals, snacks, and free play. Our curriculum revolves around engaging themes that provide guidance and foster fun and creative learning experiences, all while building upon the strengths of each child. We are dedicated to creating an "active learning" environment, where children actively participate in hands-on experiences alongside their teachers and peers.
Our preschool classrooms are uniquely arranged into learning centers, each focusing on different areas such as language arts, mathematics, science, home living, sensory exploration, large and small manipulatives, as well as arts and crafts. At Flip-N-Swim we ensure each child has the ability to learn and explore through play and structured activities. We believe the more children explore, the quicker they will conquer more challenging work and growth.
To keep you informed about your child's day, we post a daily schedule, lesson plans, and provide samples of your child's work, offering you a comprehensive understanding of their activities and progress.
School Aged Children
School Aged Classroom - Kindergarten to 5th Grade
Flip-N-Swim offers year-round child care program to children currently enrolled in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We understand that your peace of mind and productivity at work are enhanced when you know your child is in a safe environment after school, during school breaks, and throughout the summer vacation period. To accommodate caregiver and parent needs, we provide a full-day schedule during school holidays and summer months.
Our staff has the experience, skills, and required training to help your child learn and grown during after-school hours. We support children in becoming the best versions of themselves by giving them some independence, but also encouragement in a well-rounded and compassionate environment.
Our school age classroom offers outdoor play and stimulations, indoor games and activities, as well as designed homework time. With defined homework time, your child can complete their homework, so you have more quality time at home.
Flip-N-Swim currently offers transportation after school from Marble Falls Elementary, Colt Elementary and Highland Lakes Elementary.
